 We had to write about Parihaka and this is my what I wrote...

Parihaka

 In the mid 1860’s there was a Pa (village). It was a peaceful village. Was 10 kilometres away from Taranaki. The 2 leaders were Te-Whiti and Tohu. Tohu and Te-Whiti were arrested because of John Bryce.

John Bryce was losing money so he decided to take sections of their land. So in defense the Maori ploughed their land. Tohu and Te-Whiti told the men that were ploughing said its okay if you go to jail because you’d have to go to court and they would hear what they did

John Bryce was wanting some money and didn’t  find a way for making money. He could’ve got a real job but must’ve chose selling the land of Parihaka because he only knows how to sell land and steal land.  I think that John Bryce was very unhappy because he wanted britain to be the one and only high and mighty country.

Should Cats be Banned?

 Should Cats be Banned

There are many reasons why people want to ban cats. There are also many reasons why people want to keep cats. Some other people are still trying to decide.

Reasons why Cats are good...

1) Cats are not hard to look after. 

2) Cats are easier to train. 

3) Cats are independent.

4) Cats hunt mice.

        Reasons why Cats are bad…

1) Cats kill Native Birds.

2) Cats hunt and sometimes their not even hungry.

3)Cats cough a few fur balls.

4) They also scratch.

I think that cats are good and bad in their own ways. In my opinion i think that they shouldn’t ban them because the owners have to lock them in their house if they don’t it’s the owners fault.
